Research Areas

Our research group at SCS, IIT Mandi is a vibrant team with passion for cutting-edge Organic Synthesis and Catalysis. We are highly interested in exploring co-operative dual catalysis involving various redox and transition metal-catalytic systems to realize modular synthesis of useful organic scaffolds and important building blocks. Our focus area of research are photoredox catalysis, electro-organic synthesis, main group catalysis, base-metal catalysis, C-H functionalization and alkene/alkyne difunctionalization. The ultimate goal is to apply the developed methods to synthesize pharmaceutically active molecules and their analogues.
